This revolutionary smoothing system infuses Keratin deep into the hair cuticle, eliminating up to 95% of frizz and curl and leaving the hair softer, smoother and shinier. Results can last from 3 - 5 months depending on you hair type. It rejuvenates and revitalises the hair, giving it a softer, silkier feel that everyone raves about. The system contains 95% Keratin therefore as natural as you can get and much better for your hair, unlike the majority of other brands that state they are natural but only contain 5% Keratin. The therapy encases the hair follicle with a keratin bond to promote healing and helps keep environmental toxins, such as smoke, pollution and UV rays, from entering the hair. This service is gentle enough to use on all hair types: colour treated, chemically processed, bleached or highlighted. Keratin Moisturising Shampoo was developed to extend the vibrancy of colour-treated hair. This sodium chloride/sulphate free formula contains Keratin, soy and wheat protein extracts for lasting protection. Keratin Moisturising Conditioner was developed to moisturize whilst protecting hair colour. Special Keratin, wheat and soy protein oils provide lasting nourishment while protecting the hair from heat. It works in symphony with the Keratin Moisturising Shampoo. All clients will have a free consultation that includes allergy testing, hair condition analysis and home maintenance advice.

Since her arrival to Strangeways in 2003, Katy's focus has been on building her knowledge and experience. Katy is one of the youngest in the UK to achieve her Master Colour Expert accreditation, achieving 97%. Other achievements include reaching the regional heats of Trend Vision 2007, finalists for the Hairdressers Council and British Business Awards. She is also our in salon college assessor. Katy believes that, ' to be able to pass on your passion and knowledge is one of the most inspiring and fulfilling things in the industry'.

Jude is one of our original team members and has successfully achieved the highest recognised qualification in the hair industry, an MCE (Wella Master Colour Expert). She has also twice been nominated for British Hair Awards Colour Technician Of The Year, twice Trend Vision UK Finalist achieving a bronze medal and Pantene Young Stylist Of The Year. She believes that "Colour brings a great haircut to life".

MCE

The MCE qualification is the highest accolade in hairdressing colour work and involves studying not only hair and skin tone but also lifestyle and personal life. Achieving the MCE means that your colour technician has learnt to think outside the box and has studied every aspect of colour since choice to the fullest.

The MCE focuses on the science and theory of colour and colour correction. The Wella Master Colour Expert accreditation is the ultimate technical colour qualification and has been created to acknowledge the industry's most talented and highly skilled colourists.

Participation is strictly by invitation, following the completion of two initial courses - The Wella Master Colour Award and Wella Master Colour Specialist - which demonstrates its exclusivity and the high standard of the participants.

Having 3 Master Colour Experts allows Strangeways to offer clients the highest level of technical expertise, creativity, colour correction, advice and personal colour consultations.

What to expect

At Strangeways we use 100% real human hair of the highest quality from Racoon International. After your free no obligation consultation we shall give you a price you can expect to pay. This would include you extensions, any cutting or blending in, three products, a brush and advice on how to maintain your new hair. Also with your 2 week check up we can replace any loose extensions that may have come away from the hair. As one of the original in-mates at Strangeways this impressive young lady has worked her way from an assistant to a Senior Stylist and is one of the only two members qualified to do Racoon Extensions. Kate loves soft, feminine hairstyles and believes that, 'Extensions are a great way of achieving volume and instant length and new colour'.

Q. How long do they last?: A. Hair extensions when cared for correctly should last up to 3 months.
Q. What happens after 3 months?: A. Assuming you have looked after the extensions they can be removed and replaced.
Q. Do they hurt?: A. No the process involves bonding extensions onto your existing hair.
Q. How long can they be?: A. We suggest that you can go any length up to 20" any longer places extra weight on your scalp.
Q. Can I use my normal shampoo and conditioner?: A. You must not use any silicone-based products, check with your stylist first.
Q. Will a senior stylist be putting my extensions in?: A. Yes

Q. Can i wear my hair up?: A. Yes, in fact we recommend that you gently tie your hair up at night whilst sleeping.
Q. How much will they cost?: A. It really depends on the length you require and amount, usually people who feel they need a full head require much less, this is part of the reason we offer a free consultation.
Q. Is real Hair more expensive then synthetic?: A. Yes
Q. What can I expect at the consultation?: A. Our stylist will book out 20-30 minutes so that she may spend time with you listening to what you would like, answering your questions, making suggestions and going through the points you need to know which will enable you to keep your extensions looking in first class shape.

Wedding Trials

We always advise a wedding trial, this is to talk through your day and to gain an insight into the type of day you are aiming for. The more information you can give us the better picture we can build up of what will be your best look and the best hairstyle for you. Please bring as much information with you to the trial, i.e. pictures of your dress, a veil, head piece, flowers, dimante clips or pins. The more information the better.

Wedding Day

On the day we can come to your home, hotel or wherever you are going to get ready. Or you can come into the salon. The wedding party can comprise of just you, and can include mothers, mother-in-laws, bridesmaids, friends and relatives. We can also take care of the Groom, Best man and Ushers!
